| Guest | No new mail notifications in Messenger when WLM is running I noticed (quite long ago, so this problem exists across many versions) that whenever I have Windows Live Mail running, Windows Live Messenger stops notifying me about arriving email messages. Is it possible to fix this somehow? |

| Guest | Re: No new mail notifications in Messenger when WLM is running This is already checked and works perfectly _until I start Windows Live Mail_. Then no mail notifications are displayed until I close WLM, after which Messenger again works as usual. |

| Guest | Re: No new mail notifications in Messenger when WLM is running I have been in the same trouble with you for a long time but fortunately I found a solution. Breaking the integration between Messenger and Mail enables Messenger's new email alerts again. How to break it? Open regedit (Start>Run>regedit) Browse for HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Live\Communications Clients\Shared Delete your address from Mail Primary Account. Now you'll get all Messenger new mail alerts even if your wl Mail is open. But you must always do this after starting wl mail once. Because when you start wl mail, it writes your address to that key again. "SlimShaggy" wrote:

| Guest | Re: No new mail notifications in Messenger when WLM is running That's interesting. Useful if you want to remain signed into Windows Live within Windows Live Mail, otherwise signing out (Tools->Options...->Connection->Stop signing in [button]...) has the same effect, since it removes that Value data. -- Cheers, Peter.R (Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 with Windows Live Mail 12.0.1606) "There are more things in Heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy." - Shakespeare --------------- "ahmetgns" <ahmetgns@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:093BE080-2E49-40B8-A0EE-0F0009E58EF7@xxxxxx

| Guest | Re: No new mail notifications in Messenger when WLM is running Yes, I already know stopping signing in but like you said I want to remain signed into wl mail as well. Also my tweak doesn't actually breaks all the integration, I can still see my online contacts within wl mail's interface. Yet, I would like to see the mail team do something for this annoying problem in the next version. "Peter.R" wrote:
