| Guest | Preview Pane for Junk Mail Box Is there any way to turn on a preview pane for the junk mail box? I like to check to make sure no non-junk has been sent there and it's not always obvious from the address and title. The only way to check for sure is to open the message, an extra step. |

The powers programming WLM decided that having a preview pane was a potential security risk. You can move the email from the junk folder to your inbox or other folder and the preview pane for that message will be available. I hope this helps. |

| Guest | Re: Preview Pane for Junk Mail Box That's too bad, because now we all have to fully open any mail in the bulk mail folder to see what it is. This is really disappointing. How can we contact Microsoft and at least ask to someday have the option of retaining the preview pane in bulk and junk mail folders? I tried finding information on this in the Windows Live Mail help, and it was not addressed, nor could I find any way to ask Microsoft about it. Kevin ".Joe" wrote:

| Guest | Re: Preview Pane for Junk Mail Box What do you mean by "bulk mail folder"? On my WLM, the Junk email folder is the only one that doesn't preview. -- Vista Home Premium 32 SP1 http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview "Kevin" <Kevin@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:9E3739BA-B4A4-4A79-A473-C4AA5787291A@xxxxxx

not be spam, delete them. They will move to the Deleted items folder, but remain unread and so both easily identifiable and readable in the Preview pane. Those that are not spam, drag to the appropriate folder. Then you can empty the junk folder. If you notice a message that is clearly not spam in your junk folder, if you hit the Not Junk mail button, it gets marked as read and possibly difficult to find again. -- Noel | ||||||||||||

| Guest | Re: Preview Pane for Junk Mail Box I just created a new folder called junk mail instead of junk e-mail, and move everything from the junk e-mail folder to there so I can read them faster in a preview pane. Problem solved until somebody writes a hack to enable the preview pane for Junk e-mail. I referred to it as bulk mail in a previous post - that was the name used in Outlook Express. |

| Guest | Re: Preview Pane for Junk Mail Box I have no problem being able to confirm about 99.9% of the suspected spam in my Junk E-Mail folder from seeing just the Subject field. I prefer not have to see the pornographic images and scatological language in the body of that spam email. For the other 0.1%, I don't mind double-clicking on it to open it. You can leave feedback for Microsoft via Help, Send Feedback (web). -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (WLMail) "Kevin" <Kevin@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:9E3739BA-B4A4-4A79-A473-C4AA5787291A@xxxxxx

| Guest | Re: Preview Pane for Junk Mail Box For junk email, right click Properties, Details, Message Source. Previewing or opening junk emails to see if they are really junk is not a good idea. -- Ronald Sommer "Kevin" <Kevin@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:71AD630A-29D5-494C-8937-88EA83012EDB@xxxxxx

| Guest | Re: Preview Pane for Junk Mail Box 90% of the time I can tell it's junk and just delete it without opening it. But there are many times where I would like to preview one after another quickly and efficiently rather than having to open in a separate window. Order confirmations at work, responses from product inquiries, etc. usually end up in the junk mail folder, but without the preview you end up having to fully open the message anyway before deciding what to do with it. Since I have to open these messages anyway, the preview would be much faster and no less secure. |

| Guest | Re: Preview Pane for Junk Mail Box Yeah, enough of this propaganda. MS put it one way, and the users want it the other way, so give us the option. It's not difficult, and shills spouting yes-men propaganda isn't customer service. "Kevin" wrote:
