| Guest | Deleting an Email Account I'm using WLM (Vista Home Premium). The last two days one of my POP3 email accounts has stopped sending emails. It receives fine, and my other email accounts send and receive. I can't find a solution, so I'm thinking I should try deleting the problem email account and try setting it up again. If I do this will WLM delete all my existing emails that are in the Inbox for that account? -- Bob |

| Guest | Re: Deleting an Email Account Deleting the account will delete all folders associated with that account, so you may want to move the mail in those account folders to storage folders. Hold off until we have a chance to analyze your error message. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (WLMail) "bcab17" <bcab17@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:EB293209-EEE9-4C66-A9B0-89C503A1FCD9@xxxxxx

| Guest | Re: Deleting an Email Account I deleted my Yahoo pop account and all of my messages disappeared...is there any way of getting them back? OE just deleted the account settings not everything associated with the mail account. "Gary VanderMolen" wrote:

| Guest | Re: Deleting an Email Account "OE"? I can only offer support for WLM in this newsgroup. If you meant WLM, yes, deleting an account will delete all local folders and emails associated with that account, which is why it gives you a warning about that. If you had your email program configured to delete emails from the server after downloading, then they are gone for good. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (WLMail) "Rickf" <Rickf@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:49D6D084-9293-41DE-8C0C-FD0DE500E6DF@xxxxxx

| Guest | Re: Deleting an Email Account If OE is still available, you may be able to import the dbx file to the point in time the Yahoo.dbx file was last saved in OE. I've not tried this for quite some time(beta)...thus ymmv. Create the account in WLM(Tools/Accounts\Add Copy the Yahoo.dbx file to a jump drive or a separate folder on the hard drive. File/Import/Messages/Outlook Express Browse to the location of Yahoo.dbx file As mentioned, ymmv...Alos, the imported messages may reside in a subfolder in the storage folders. If so drag to the Yahoo account. As a last resort if the above does not work and the messages are still available in OE, drag them to a Windows Explorer folder. They will be saved as eml files. Then drag into the newly created Yahoo folders. Note: This route does have its disadvantages(to, from, date stamp), but it will make them available in WLM. -- ...winston ms-mvp windows live mail "Rickf" <Rickf@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:49D6D084-9293-41DE-8C0C-FD0DE500E6DF@xxxxxx
