| Guest | Answer for 0x80004005 Problem. Hi people, *** INTRODUCTION *** Just my bit of sharing with the community out there... I've been having a problem to sync my hotmail account with error code 0x80004005 for at least 6 months now. I've been in touch with 2 of customer support team for this particular issue and there are no answers to it .... I've also tried to google it around and there's no satisfying answer for me. I've tried with 3 different machines and multiple OSes. I can only sync using outlook connector (with outlook of course...) but don't really like it (sloooow...) *** Solution *** So yeah... I just found out, that the reasons for the sync error is because of the message in the folder. Do check your folder *ESPECIALLY* the sent items. I have 1200 message previously. After I trim it up to 600 message, it just work ... *** CONCLUSION *** Probably that Windows Live Desktop is not happy when there are more than 999 message on a single folder. (WLM Version 12.0.1606) Hope that it helps you. Be blessed... Hari Simaguen MCP |

| Guest | Re: Answer for 0x80004005 Problem. Did the support team ask you for any logs, I'm curious to see what kind of error the server was giving you. That code isn't directly helpful, nor does it really make sense with your solution. :-) "hagun" <hagun@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:885097E0-3352-472E-9503-77CB83BCB6A8@xxxxxx
