    Cannot install Windows Live Mail

    Hi

i have had a hotmail account for years but today microsoft send me a message
saying that i can't use it in Outlook Express after June 30. i am told to use
this link to download Windows Live Mail as a replacement

    http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview.

when i try to download Windows Live Mail it just says "Sorry, we couldn't
    install these programs"
Mail : Not Installed : Canceled
    Sign-in Assistant : Not Installed : Canceled
    Please try again later.

There is no reason given as to why it didn't install so that's unhelpful for
starters. And it tells me to try again later by putting an icon on my
desktop. What is the use of trying again later - do installations have more
chance of succeeding at different times of the day?

Anyway, could someone help me here as to what's going wrong. Surely i'm not
the only one with this problem? I'm using XP Professional SP2.

    Thank you.

well what do you know, i retry the download for a third time and this time it
works. Shows what i know about possible retries being no different.

    can be closed ....

I was just about to say that the email you got has presumably been sent to
untold millions around the world, many of whom would then do what you did.
So, I suspect a simple case of server overload and that trying again later
    would suffice...

Yes i originally thought i was installing after downloading to my own machine
    which prompted my orginal comment.

Either way, a simple error message like "Server too busy" would have been
    helpful
