Vista Tutorial - live mail not working

first signed on using live mail for my mail and it took a long time to get
register(go on line) then it slowed down my computer till it seemed like it
was not working at all. took forever (or so it seemed) to delete my regular
mail as well as my hotmail..so deleted everything that was installed with
live mail and just using outlook express and unless live mail finally gets
working normally I will have to give up my hotmail account...
