In Outlook, there was an option that said "after moving or deleting an open
item":
- open the previous item
- open the next item
- return to the inbox

is this option not available in WLM?

I can't find that option in MS Outlook Express, which is the program Windows
Live Mail is intended to replace. MS Outlook is a different program,
entirely, and MSFT likely won't make a low-end, free client which duplicates
most of the features of their flagship, premium email application.

That's a fair point. However my Outlook 2002 will not work with Hotmail
after June 2008. So I've been forced to move to WLM. Oh hum.

No. If you don't want the next message opened automatically, close
the current message, then delete/move it in the message list pane.
