spam

After you have marked an email as spam or not spam, WLMD should remember the
rule for all subsequent emails from that address.

If you have paid attention to your spam, you would know that you rarely get
more than one spam from any given email address.

Re: spam

What rule? You didn't write a rule by classifying a message as Junk
or Not Junk.

Re: spam

Um, did you not see my response?
Unless you add that sender to the Safe Senders list, no amount of
clicking "Not spam" will fix it.

Re: spam

I love WLMD - but the junk mail is not working correctly (or I am not doing
something right)

I have safe listed my incoming comments from Blogger, safe listed all things
iTunes, safe listed all my friends who have AOL yet these things continue to
go my Junk folder.

Any helpful hints?
thanks,
gw

Re: spam

The only thing that overrides the Safe Senders list is the Blocked Senders
list. So check that list. Other than that, I don't know.

RE: spam

After you delete and block, the same "career whatever keeps coming up"
windows live is like yahoo mail; they are both useless in preventing spam.
since this is so common a problem you woul think that they would have a
wepage on this; ALSO,I don't like the stupind advertising and never open it.
It is just a money maker for them by selling space for advertisers. tjs_one

Re: spam

That makes no sense at all..
"After you delete and block, the same "career whatever keeps coming up"

What advertising do you see in WLM ? The only ads would be in emails included by the sender or using a web interface to send mail
to you. If you are referring to Live promotional material, you might try properly setting your Communication settings in your Live
ID profile account settings.

Additionally in the post you responded to(cf. swarfega), WLM(no longer WLMD) doesn't create a rule when a message is marked as
'spam or not spam'.

The only way to "prevent" spam is both illegal, and anti-social. The law
just won't allow us to hang spammers, or shoot them, or decapitate them.

You mean like this one:

Or this one:

Both email services have online Help pages on the subject.

The advertising is what makes the free service possible. In, "The Moon is a
Harh Mistress", Robert A. Heinlein coined the acronym, "TANSTAAFL"; "There
Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch". Somebody always has to pay, even when
we don't.
