I know I can ctrl-shift-a, but......

Why can there not be a Mark All As Read toolbar button?

Mark read does just that, marks the message as read. This takes time on a
big newsgroup.

Re: I know I can ctrl-shift-a, but......

Also does it not make them all as read when you move on to the next
newsgroup?

Re: I know I can ctrl-shift-a, but......

I do not have it set to mark as read when I leave a group. This is
intentional as I have a tendency to jump around to various newsgroups while
reading.

In WLM you can customize your toolbar to add the Mark All icon.
Is that what you're looking for?
