folder icons

How can I get rid of the folder icons in the left side of live mail?

They serve no useful purpose and take up too much space.

Now I have to scroll up and down to move mail and its just aggravating to
say the least.

RE: folder icons

I am also fed up with it. anybody please share any trick or tip how to change
the look or font size to make it look like in outlook express.

If it is like this then I'd have to ditch this window live mail for good and
may be good bye to hotmail too.

Re: folder icons

Well, if you grab the vertical line that separates the folder icons and the
main part of the screen you can drag it to the left. This practically
eliminates the wasted space issue.

Re: folder icons

Are you worried about wasted vertical space or horizontal space?
I keep the account folders collapsed to just one line each, and do
all my reading through Quick view folders.

Re: folder icons

Its the vertical space that is consumed by the folder icons.

Since I have a number of email accounts that are used for various
purposes/reasons, using quick folders is far too confusing when trying to
keep topics organized.

Thanks all for your time. Looks like I'll have to find an email provider who
has a client that is more flexible than LiveMail.

Too bad, as I have used these for many years now and getting all those
re-directed is going to be a real pain. Still, it will be worth it to get the
kind of functionality that I used to get with Microsoft.

Re: folder icons

Email provider is not the same thing as email client provider.
If you truly can't stomach WLM, give Thunderbird a try. Like WLM,
Thunderbird is not tied to any specific email service provider.
