Is the junk filter updated monthly for WLM as it is for Outlook?

Was reading the following because I was curious if the junk filter for
Windows Live Mail (WLM) ever gets updated.

Microsoft's Smartscreen (junk filtering)

Does the above mean that WLM also gets updated every month using the
Windows Update that updates the junk filter in Outlook 2003/2007?

Yes, that's my understanding.
A junk filter that doesn't get updated would be pretty much worthless.

Check the date on your filter - wlmfilter.dat and wlmfilter.dll.
They may well be the same as the OL ones, but I haven't dared to try
renaming the OL equivalents to see if they work. I suggested it a
long time ago, but nobody bit.

Uh-oh, on my system those two WLM files are dated October 5, 2007.
Any way to force an update? All my other updates get done automatically
through Windows Update.

I was also wondering about the same problem, my system shows date stamp of
31st October 2006! Help!!!
