| Guest | Sorting Hello Everyone, I am having an usse with sorting...... like I have my inbox set to SHOW ALL NEW MAIL at the top so I click the DATE button above the emails to put the newest emails at the top of my gmail imap..... But next thing you know NEW EMAILS are either in the middle or at the bottom again..... And I am constantly having to click the date bar to get NEWEST on top also in my ARCHIVED FOLDER........... I have the emails sorted by WHO they come from but everytime I add a email to that folder..... it just puts the emails I dragged in there on top and not sort them down by their name so I might have R AND S on top of a email address with an A..... Is there a way to fix this? Thanks, Christopher |

Do you also have Show replies to my messages Ctrl+H checked? That could explain your symptom I think. Just press Ctrl+H twice and the new messages will be sorted or suppressed appropriately. Also, you could set Work Offline which would prevent the new messages from occurring at all while you were working in the Inbox. Or turn off the timed update of the Inbox and do it on demand (manually via Ctrl+M) Etc. HTH Robert Aldwinckle ---
