Can tool bar button text be turned off?

I'd like to turn off the text, or have selective text only, for tool bar
buttons. This feature is on IE, but I can't find it on Windows LM. Text
plus button takes up too much space.

Can it be done?

No, but I'm surprised you're running out of space on the toolbar.
My toolbar is only about 50% occupied.

Re: Can tool bar button text be turned off?

Really? There is a selection of buttons available under "Customize Toolbar".
The buttons are very handy, require only one click for most things. I
don't like WLM open full screen, have about 6 or 7 buttons on the tool bar.
I'd like several more. They take up excessive space with button icon and
text. Floating the mouse over a button provides text anyway. MS really
needs to fix this feature, and a few more buttons (cut, copy, paste) wouldn't
hurt. It's available on OE and IE.

Even so, WLM is not bad, so far I don't mind switching from OE.

Re: Can tool bar button text be turned off?

I totally agree with you, Mike.
Please make the text next to the icon optional, Microsoft!

Re: Can tool bar button text be turned off?

Yeah! Please remove the text.

How about sending the WLM team some suggestions on removing the text from
the toolbar icons? Click on Help > Send Feedback (web).

I removed alltoolbar button's text when I wa using OE, and would love to do
that too in WLM. At least remove the text on some of them like Delete. I
think people by now know that the "X" in the toolbar deletes a message.
