| picture positioning In OE you were able to postion the inserted pictures , left, right or in the middle of the line. Also you were able how far away the text from the edge can be typed in. Besides that, you were able to align the text with the top , bottom or middle of the picture. And you could size the picture by dragging the edge of the picture. In WLM there is no such option and also no option when inserting a picture to select "with no texT" How do you insert a pic w/o text and position the picture likewise in OE ? Rgds |

| Re: picture positioning If you question about "With No Text" is about the Alternate Text for an image, after inserting, right click the image and select Alternate Text to adjust the value. Windows Live Mail lacks the ability that Outlook Express has to view/edit the HTML source in a message that you are composing. There is a workaround, but it is nowhere as convenient as in OE. Compose the message as normal. Insert the desired image in front of the text that you want to be next to the image. Then do a File, Save As to an EML file. Close the message (X in the upper right hand corner). Open the saved EML file in Notepad. Locate the IMG tag in the HTML source. It will look something like: <IMG style=3D"DISPLAY: inline-block; FLOAT: none; MARGIN: 10px 0px 0px; = POSITION: static" height=3D267 src=3D"cid:C8F481EF55184FE583C5917093AD4D58@xxxxxx" = width=3D400 border=3D0> Change the "FLOAT: none;" to "FLOAT: left;" or "FLOAT: right;" depending on which side you want the image. The MARGIN values are in pixels and are in order: Top, Right, Bottom, Left "=3D" is a quoted-printable equal sign as used in several of the parameters. border=3D0 is a 0 pixel border. Change to border=3D10 for 10 pixels. Save the EML file, then double click to open in WLM. You can then send the message. And then the saved EML file can be deleted. Note: If after opening the saved EML file you make some changes via WLM and decide that you need to do make further source changes, you will need to save to a different EML file, as the current one is locked by WLM and won't let the Save As update it. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "sanantonio" <sanantonio@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:0108729E-880D-456D-B34B-894BD82C0544@xxxxxx
