Help - How to remove the 'preview pane' in Windows Contacts?

Under Vista, to view a directory of address files, as I open the 'Windows
Contacts', it automatically opens the preview pane on the right side as
"Select a file to preview". To remove the "preview handlers" pane view from
the "Windows Contacts" view, I have done the following:-

Under 'Tools", "Folder Options" & "View", I have un-checked the "Show
Preview handlers in preview pane". Since I don't carry any picture for
e-mail addresses, I rather not view the blank picture pane. But I am unable
to remove the 'preview pane'

How do I remove the "preview handlers" sub-pane from the "Windows Contacts"
view? Appreciate comments.

Though your question may be common to accessing Windows Live Mail contacts using Windows Explorer..

Try
In Windows Explorer click on View(menu bar) or Views(tool bar)
Choosing either Small Icons, List, or Details might achieve your intent.

click on it. Close the contacts window.

Not using WM or its contacts, I rarely use Explorer to look at WLM's contacts..

Never thought to look there. Learned something new!

not to get into the Windows Mail, rather stay in the OP system.
This is what I found out :- Open Windows Explorer, (by Start,
All Programs, Accessories), then click on Organize, Layout,
Preview Pane. All three panes, Details, Preview & Navigation
can be set here. Thanks again for the help.
