Folders setting in Windows Live Mail

Previously with XP I could save mails from Hotmail account to my computer, to
make my Hotmail page neat. Those folders I created are not possible here in
Windows Live Mail.

I use Vista now. How can I do the same with Outlook Express, creating
folders NOT connected with Hotmail account but stored in the computers?

Many thanks.

Re: Folders setting in Windows Live Mail

I'm not sure if I'm understanding your question correctly, but are you
perhaps referring to the Storage Folders feature found in WLM?
Also, all you're email are stored on your drive. Each individual email is
now stored rather than one big database so you could just drag and drop the
email to another folder if you wanted.

Re: Folders setting in Windows Live Mail

If currently using Vista, then OE doesn't apply(I suspect you meant WLM). Since in Vista the only email clients capable of
accessing a Hotmail account(free/fee) via the http server are WLM and OL and/or the OLConnector.

If you mean you created additional user created folders in OE in XP that also resided external to the Hotmail email accounts
synchronized folders then to accomplish similar create additional folders in WLM's Storage Folders and copy/move/drag messages to
those user created folders. Creating a folder within a hotmail account in WLM will sync and create those same folders in the web
UI.
