| Guest | Re: Bug: Smart folders don't display content that they otherwise should If you haven't received my post by now, you are not likely to. I have noticed that sometimes WLMail downloads a reply long before the original post, but I don't know why. Indeed, occasionally (but rarely) I never get the original post, including my own. This happened recently with one of Noel's (Ildhund) posts. Upon resetting the newsgroup, the missing post was downloaded along with all the rest. By the way, I must admit that I have no idea what a 'spokeshave quote' is. :-) -- Cheers, Peter.R (Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 with Windows Live Mail 12.0.1606) "There are more things in Heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy." - Shakespeare --------------- "Urbane.Tiger" <viking.warrior@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:OvmdnRi0CbZN8bfVnZ2dnUVZ_obinZ2d@xxxxxx

| Guest | Re: Bug: Smart folders don't display content that they otherwise should Perhaps 'spokeshave quote' is a typo for 'Shakespeare quote'. "Peter.R" <Peter.R@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:CA091BD4-A14D-4C9B-9669-C84E9F8410C5@xxxxxx

Judging by your Message-ID (in the news link above) it could be because you are using a server which is farther away than the original source. Here's the References header from your post: References: <ED6A26D8-ACA3-4BEA-91DC-5A497D770C8F@xxxxxx> <FF7D3D7B-E3C4-4D5D-8B57-4444EC56F9E1@xxxxxx> <61BC97AE-9C3C-4982-B0B2-FC1C199460CA@xxxxxx> <-ZmdnflKcujZ3LfVnZ2dnUVZ_vudnZ2d@xxxxxx> <#ASDnBXtIHA.420@xxxxxx> Peter's post was the second one in this thread. So make a news link out of that one and try it from your server: news:FF7D3D7B-E3C4-4D5D-8B57-4444EC56F9E1@xxxxxx Did you get it? If not try it from the msnews server: news://msnews.microsoft.com/FF7D3D7B...C56F9E1@xxxxxx Why not use the msnews server for these newsgroups? news://msnews.microsoft.com/ Good luck Robert Aldwinckle --- ....

| Guest | Re: Bug: Smart folders don't display content that they otherwise should - Peters Reply, which got lost on the way to the forum. Hi Georgios. It would appear that your Quick views have broken. The Quick views will break in the current version of WLMail (12.0.1606) if any folder is deleted (in an Account or under Storage folders), if a Feed is deleted, or if one un-subscribes to a Newsgroup. Repairing your Quick views should fix the problem you are experiencing. To repair the broken Quick views, delete the registry Value "SearchFolderVersion" under the registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail. This will cause WLMail to rebuild its Quick view data store when it is next started. -- Cheers, Peter.R (Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 with Windows Live Mail 12.0.1606) "There are more things in Heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy." - Shakespeare ------------------------------------------------------------- "Georgios Kasselakis" <kcorax@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:ED6A26D8-ACA3-4BEA-91DC-5A497D770C8F@xxxxxx
