| Guest | Bug: Smart folders don't display content that they otherwise should Hello, I have this bizzare problem where my WLMD doesn't display mail in it's smart folders. Eg the All incoming and All mail folder are both empty. I have two imap mail accounts (GMail and another). The problem appeared after I fixed the root and other special folder names for GMail, so that WLM's Junk, Drafts etc folders coincide with those provided by the service. However now the smart folders don't display mail from either of my accounts. Funny thing, if mail arrives while the application is on, it does show up in them, appropriatelly according to what each folder is supposed to show. However upon restarting the app these items too don't show up. -- Georgios Kasselakis http://www.kcorax.net http://www.twitter.com/kcorax |

| Guest | Re: Bug: Smart folders don't display content that they otherwise should Hi Georgios. It would appear that your Quick views have broken. The Quick views will break in the current version of WLMail (12.0.1606) if any folder is deleted (in an Account or under Storage folders), if a Feed is deleted, or if one un-subscribes to a Newsgroup. Repairing your Quick views should fix the problem you are experiencing. To repair the broken Quick views, delete the registry Value "SearchFolderVersion" under the registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail. This will cause WLMail to rebuild its Quick view data store when it is next started. -- Cheers, Peter.R (Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 with Windows Live Mail 12.0.1606) "There are more things in Heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy." - Shakespeare --------------- "Georgios Kasselakis" <kcorax@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:ED6A26D8-ACA3-4BEA-91DC-5A497D770C8F@xxxxxx

| Guest | Re: Bug: Smart folders don't display content that they otherwise should Peter, thanks for the help. Unfortunately the key was not in the mentioned place but upon searching it, I found it here: HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-134279248-2544492529-1686470803-1000\Software\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail Upon deleting it everything worked again -- Georgios Kasselakis http://www.kcorax.net http://www.twitter.com/kcorax Ο "Peter.R" <Peter.R@xxxxxx> έγραψε στο μήνυμα news:FF7D3D7B-E3C4-4D5D-8B57-4444EC56F9E1@xxxxxx

| Guest | Re: Bug: Smart folders don't display content that they otherwise should To read what he wrote - I don't expect to HAVE to read what is in GK's post to see Peter posted - I expect to see it in the conversation's thread. Peter's post is still not showing here - any idea why? Besides I like his spokeshave quotes -- TUT __________________________________ "Ron Sommer" <rsommer@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:#ASDnBXtIHA.420@xxxxxx

| Guest | Re: Bug: Smart folders don't display content that they otherwise should There have been occasions where server issues prevent messages from downloading.. Resetting the newsgroup may also allow a message to be downloaded; other approaches if archive messages are important-- create another msnews.microsoft.com news account with a different name and let WLM download it.. -- ...winston ms-mvp mail "Urbane.Tiger" <viking.warrior@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:OvmdnRi0CbZN8bfVnZ2dnUVZ_obinZ2d@xxxxxx
