WLM and Winxp problem

This is the message I get for Receiving messages in WLM with windowsXP.
Sending works ok. Comcast says the settings are all correct.

Unable to send or receive messages for the Comcast (Ritter197) account. Your
server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this
include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.

The advice is to turn off email scanning. It is redundant to the memory
