Most of the POP accounts I have configured in WLM are set to remember
passwords. One is not, so the "remember password" box in that account's properties is not checked. This particular account is not set to receive or sync automatically either. When I manually request to send/receive mail on this account, the first time after starting WLM, a dialogue box pops up correctly to request a password, which I enter. In that dialogue box I do NOT check "remember password" either. However WLM seems to be subsequently "remembering" that password anyway and will send/receive mail automatically with all the other accounts until I close WLM and restart it. This seems incoherent. That's normal and you'll find that many, if not most, mail clients work
the same way. The remember password means that after the mail program is closed, the password will be remembered next time the program is opened. With the option unchecked, the password must be entered the first time after opening the program, but will be retained until you close the program. The presumption is that you are not setting the remember password because other people may have access to your PC and might open the mail program and want to send/receive mail as you. Once you open the program and send/receive it is presumed that you are staying at the PC until you close the program. Even not remembering the password here is of minimal security. Anyone who has access to the PC can still read/delete any previously sent/received mail. If you want any meaningful security from people who have physical access to your PC you need to put a password on your Windows logon and then either logoff when leaving the PC or lock it manually or via screen saver. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "PaulOnTopOfTheHill" <PaulOnTopOfTheHill@xxxxxx> wrote in message news 7A20E8A-28CD-4575-90BB-C7AC8CEF274E@xxxxxx

Michael, you may be right but still, that specific pop3 account shouldn't be
included in automatic regular mail check of WLMail. "Michael Santovec" wrote:
