Vista - Gmail goes into quick views but not into Google folder

-- Received mail from a gmail address and the mail goes into quick view and
not into my google inbox folder. So I read it and it then disappears.
However I do receive other gmail to my gmail address which goes straight
into my google inbox. This a continual problem which seems confined to one
friends gmail adddress. So far. Any ideas?

IMAP or POP3? OS? (- not that that's likely to make much difference,
but you never know)

Look at your Message Rules (Tools, Message Rules, Mail). Perhaps a rule
is catching this person's messages and moving them to another folder.
This would apply if you are using POP3 access, but not IMAP.
