Get rid of icon in notification area?

Is there any way I can get rid of the WLM icon in the notification area (far
right of the task bar)?

Thanks,

SteveT

Your only recourse is to right click on the taskbar and select
Properties, select the Notification Area tab, Customize button and click on
the Windows Live Mail entry. You can then select Hide.

Is that advice for Vista or XP, because I don't see which system Steve has?

Hi Steve,

WLM does not seem to have a option to not display the icon, but you can set it to hide as C.B. posted above. This tutorial will show you how to if needed.

Notification Icons - Customize

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Hey, that's clever! I wouldn't have thought of approaching it this way.

It leaves the little arrowhead behind, of course, but I can certainly live
with that.

Nice bit of lateral thinking - thanks.

As suggested by C.B., too. Thanks, Brink, that has done what I wanted, and
I hadn't thought of doing it that way.

Much appreciate your help.

Vista. Sorry, I should have been more specific. My bad.
