| Newbie | Copy from windows mail to microsoft word Can someone help please? I want to copy emails (not attachments) from windows mail to microsoft word in a readable format. I understand this was easily done in outlook but cannot find a way to do this in Mail? I understand that shift and page down highlights the required messages for copying and have tried exporting, but the format doesnt copy into a readable format in word. Hopefully someone can guide me? Thank you! |

| Guest | Re: Copy from windows mail to microsoft word I use Ctrl+A (select all), Ctrl+C (copy), which pastes just fine into Word 2003. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP "eggmonger" <guest@xxxxxx-email.com> wrote in message news:5c8b2c2b0637d8f6efb1bdc53ecedef5@xxxxxx-gateway.com...

| Guest | Re: Copy from windows mail to microsoft word Hi, eggmonger. What's wrong with Copy'n'Paste? Or even highlight, then Drag'n'Drop? Or try Word's Open, rather than Mail's Export. I haven't used that but it worked fine for me in Word 2007 when I tested it just now. The only problem is identifying Mail's cryptically-named *.eml files. If you tell us more about what kind of emails you are dealing with, we might be able to give more explicit instructions. Also, you should tell us such things as which version of Word. In fact, you might get better help on this in a Word newsgroup. By the way, you are asking about Windows Mail in a newsgroup dedicated to Windows Live Mail, a different program in spite of the very similar name. RC -- R. C. | Newbie | Re: Copy from windows mail to microsoft word Thank you for all your replies! I am running Windows Mail on Microsoft Windows, Version 6.0.6000.16386 (vista_rtm061101-2205) The solutions proposed do not appear to work when I highlight ( I highlight by shift/pg down) a large number (200+) of emails in my inbox. There is no paste special in windows mail as I can see. I can cut and paste one email easily - but not a large block of numerous emails simultaneously - which is what I am trying to do. Any further ideas please? |

| Guest | Re: Copy from windows mail to microsoft word Hi, Eggmonger. As I said in my earlier message, "you are asking about Windows Mail in a newsgroup dedicated to Windows Live Mail, a different program in spite of the very similar name." And there are some significant differences, despite their superficial similarities. Please take this question to the OTHER newsgroup, which is dedicated to Windows Mail, not Windows Live Mail (WM not WLM). Just click here: news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...ows.vista.mail And please don't blame us for the name confusion. Microsoft did it. Again! :>( RC -- R. C.
