Wlm 'application not found' error

When I click on a hyper link in a Windows Live Mail message, I get the error
"Application Not Found" (No error Number) I am running Vista premium home.

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Wlm 'application not found' error

Hi, Mel.

Does this happen on every hyperlink? Or just one or a few specific links?

If it's just one, can you tell us more about that one. Does it link to
somewhere in that same message, or to somewhere else on your computer, or to
somewhere on the Internet?

I see that you posted that message using Windows Mail, not Windows Live
Mail. Lots of users confuse the confusingly similar names, so could you
please confirm that your question is really about Windows Live Mail.

Re: Wlm 'application not found' error

Thank you for your help.

First of all I would like to confirm that it is Windows live mail.

It happens with every link, for example I get a newsletter from 'Aldi' with
their weekly specials on it, I can't click a link to take me to a specific
item from within that newsletter, but every link in any message is the same,
I just get 'Application not found', there is no error number or any other
information!

Also if I click the 'Help' (?) button on the top menu bar, I get the same
error, all other buttons function Ok.

Once again Thanks for your help. much appreciated.

Re: Wlm 'application not found' error

It sounds to me like the problem might be with your Internet browser. Try re-setting the defaults for Internet Explorer.

Re: Wlm 'application not found' error

Thank you Peter, the problem was Internet explorer was not set as my default
browser, I uninstalled firefox and forgot to adjust the settings.

Many thanks again.
