| | Default account for sending emails I see that in Windows Live Mail is possible to set a default account for sending emails but if an account is selected in the side menu the email will be sent with that account and not with default one. This way is easy to send emails with wrong account. Would be usefull and option that (if activated) force the account to be always the default one. thank you Roberto |

| | Re: Default account for sending emails To me it seems logical that the email is sent from the account that you are currently working with. I highly doubt that the developers would consider changing this behavior. Before clicking Send, one should always double-check the 'From' account displayed in the upper right corner of the compose window. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP "Roberto Nicchi" <robertonicchi@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:18110A11-8DB6-4E2E-A53E-C0447C90A85F@xxxxxx Quote: >I see that in Windows Live Mail is possible to set a default account for > sending emails but if an account is selected in the side menu the email will > be sent with that account and not with default one. | | Re: Default account for sending emails Start a new message using the default account. Save the message to the desktop. Use the saved message to start a new email. What is easy is checking which account is listed when composing the message. The From column is always shown. I like the feature. I know that when I am working in an account, new emails will be from that account. -- Ronald Sommer "Roberto Nicchi" <robertonicchi@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:18110A11-8DB6-4E2E-A53E-C0447C90A85F@xxxxxx Quote: > I see that in Windows Live Mail is possible to set a default account for > sending emails but if an account is selected in the side menu the email > will be sent with that account and not with default one. If this option is not selected (default) the email will be sent with the currently selected account. | | Re: Default account for sending emails Hi, Gary. To clarify and emphasize: Quote: > Also, if you are viewing a newsgroup message and click on Reply, newsgroup POST. "Reply" is almost NEVER the right button to use in Newsgroups! On the Actions menu, the differences are a little more defined: "Reply to sender" (email), "Reply to group" (post), or "Reply to all" (BOTH!). But the two buttons that we can put on the Toolbar are abbreviated to just Reply and Reply Group, which can be misunderstood. In newsgroups, Reply is seldom the right choice; Reply Group is almost always the right button. (Reply to all is almost never needed - or appreciated by the email recipient.) RC -- R. C.
