Help - How to set "Send / Receive Messages" on Windows Live Mail

Under WLM Tools, Options, General, I have set the 'Send/Receive Messages' option
so that, as I open the WLM, I don't want the messages arrive automatically at
the startup or even at certain time interval. Still as I open WLM, messages
continue to arrive right away. Is there any special setup that I am missing?
Appreciate help.

Is this an issue for your Hotmail account?

Before closing WLM select one of the storage folders. When you next
open WLM it should open with that folder rather than Hotmail. Does that
make a difference?

Try setting Work Offline (e.g. using OE or IE)
before opening WLMail?

Otherwise you could try opening WLMail at its News tab
and then setting Work Offline in WLMail itself before
switching to its Mail tab. Just add /news to the wlmail.exe
command line if you want to try this.

Another thing which would probably work is having a
compact folder view for the Mail tab which included
only the Outbox. Then that tab would open at the Outbox
and probably not affect any of the other Mail tab folders.
