WLM does not import all messages from Outlook Express

I just moved to WLM (was told it was the only way to keep monitoring my
hotmail account thtough an e-mail client) from Outlook Express (with which I
was very happy).

At first start (after installation completion) it automatically imported
account and e-mail folder info from OE. However it was only partially done.
Accounts were OK, but the most recent e-mails were not imported (1-2 yrs,
since 2007 or 2006 for some folders).

I tried to manually import them (File>Import>Messages). It gives me the
option of OE 6, finds the store folder correctly, appears to import all, but
in the end I keep having only the older e-mails.

Anyone can help pls?

Re: WLM does not import all messages from Outlook Express

In Windows Live Mail (WLM) look under Storage folders, Imported Folders
for your imported messages.

If you still have a problem, you can use a double drag-and-drop to move
messages in either direction between WLM and Outlook Express (OE).
Create an empty Windows folder. Then in OE select all the messages in a
folder, then drag-and-drop to the Windows folder. Then select all the
messages in the Windows folder and drag-and-drop into an WLM folder of
your choice.

By the way, Microsoft has postponed indefinitely ending OE access to
Hotmail.

Re: WLM does not import all messages from Outlook Express

Mike

Thank you very much. Will try it.

Another advantage of WLM for me would be that I can icorporate a new hotmail
account, that is no longer allowed with OE.

Thank you for your help.
