Keyboard Shortcuts or Autotype

love Live Mail, but sometimes am annoyed by the aspect of the keyboard
shortcut or 'autotype' utility that inserts graphics or other symbols for
certain strings of typed-in characters... like 'smileys.' For example, I
just typed a question mark in parentheses and got something on the screen
that I can't recognize. Is there a way to turn this off?

Re: Keyboard Shortcuts or Autotype

Nope. But if you hit Ctrl-Z when it happens, the emoticon goes away.

Re: Keyboard Shortcuts or Autotype

Thanks! I also discovered that you can right-click the Emoticon and reverse
the action.
