Drag/Drop anyone?

    Drag/Drop anyone?

My WLM doesn't support drag/drop between panes (i can drag words around the
    message body)

I can't drag some of the body text into the subject line (as i could with
    Vista mail & O/Express)

I can't drag a link from an email and drop it on an explorer window (as i
could with Vista mail & O/Express)

Anyone know the cure to this annoying behavior

Dragging text from the body to the subject works fine for me.

Since you can drag within the body, I presume that the cursor changes to
the box as you drag. Does it change to the circle with the line through
it as you cross the border to the subject? Once you get to the subject
box, does it change back to the box, or stay the circle or what?

As for dragging a URL to IE, that doesn't work for me either.

The cursor stays as a box until i move it out of the body window (into the
subject line) where it turns in the no way sign

You'll notice you can drag url's out of an email using Vista mail/Outlook
Express (as you can with any other type of document that supports html)

Just not supported by WLM - and i assume my subject line issue is connected
    with same problem

    Re: Drag/Drop anyone?

Drag-and-drop to the Subject line IS SUPPORTED in WLM and works for me
and a number of people have mentioned using it. So there may be
something wrong with your system or some settings incompatibility. If I
recall correctly, someone else reported not being able to do that, but I
    don't recall a resolution.

As for the URL drag, that does NOT work for me in WLM (does in OE for me
as long a read in plain text is not selected), so that might be an
    unsupported feature.

    Hello,

Have you tried right click, cut/copy then paste? Just a thought!

I apologize, I should have written left click to highlight, right click to
cut or copy, then paste. It is an old word processing tool I learned long
ago and continue to use today. It is much easier than retyping a
    line/paragraph all over again.

Copy/Paste is OK - but not nearly as convenient as drag drop
