Receiving Message 25 of ??

Many times when I log into mail I will receive 50 emails. If I am gone from my desk for a week the number can be up to 300. Windows Live Mail simply says receiving message 35. 1Therefore I have NO IDEA 35 of HOW MANY.

Hard to imagine this useful OE feature is gone from WLM. Maybe there is a setting I have missed?

If not, does anyone know if MS plans to add this feature back at some time?

I suspect that the routine to update the receive status is just "stubbed
in". If you let them know that you miss it this may help motivate someone
to write it.

I do miss that feature.

But you do still have the progress bar. That indicates how much of the
data has been downloaded. Which is more meaningful in how much longer
the download will take than how many messages remain to be downloaded.
