junk

I have Windows Vista, Windows Live Mail, Internet Explorer, Freeserve. I
have a serious problem with junk/spam, over 100 per day. About 90% go
straight into the junl folder, but I still have to check them. I have also
to check the other 10% in my inbox. An enormous waste of time.
I want software which will stop junk from entering my computer in the first
place. I have tried Spamfighter and Cloudmark, but neither are compatible.
Any ideas, apart from changing my email address, which for obvious reasons I
don't want to do?

Re: junk

To prevent delivery check your isp's web interface for filtering prior to pulling down to a local client. If Hotmail, check out
the the online web ui settings to see if one of those options suits your issue.

I want 150 million US Dollars. I expect I will get my 150 million before you
get a client side application which prevents spam from being downloaded to
your computer.

However, you could try something like either:

K9: http://www.keir.net/k9.html
POPFile: http://getpopfile.org/

Re: junk

Thanks, Winston, but I am a bit ignorant on some of these things. I am not
on Hotmail. My isp is Orange. How do I find their web interface? What
do you mean by "pulling down to a local client"? halevalley.

Re: junk

You can access Orange's webmail interface from their home page:
http://www.orange.co.uk

"Pulling down to a local client" in this case means letting your WLM
download email from the server.
