error 0x8000FFFF

Hi!
I installed windows live mail last week & for my hotmail account I can see
the subject but it says it has encountered a problem downloading the message.
I uninstalled & reinstalled windows live 4 times and removed Norton & still
the same thing... I copied the error below... I am using my work Computer...
Home computer is fine displaying mail.

Windows Live Mail could not download the requested message. To send and
receive messages in your Hotmail account, go to http://hotmail.live.com on
the Web, or try again later. To get help from Windows Live Customer Support,
go to http://support.live.com and click Windows Live Mail in the list of

RE: error 0x8000FFFF

Hi:

I am sorry I can not be of any help to you to solve this problem. I have
been having the same problem since June of 2008. I have contacted Microsoft
and they have been no help on this. I entered into email conversations with
Microsoft staff and was told to send a copy of data from my computer. I did
this.

I see another person on one of these communities who also is having this
problem and they pasted all of their communications from Microsoft on their
positing. Oddly, my emails from Microsoft read almost the same as that
person's responses. Obviously, Microsoft issues "canned" responses to us
when we have problems. There was absolutely no resolution for me in dealing
with Microsoft.

I have checked on the internet and see that others are having the same
problem. Apparently it is a server problem on Microsoft's end. No one seems
to know when this problem will be addressed and/or fixed.

I personally have removed Windows Live and downloaded it many times.
Nothing is corrected.

If you get any information on this, I would love to hear from you.

Karen
