Changing color of my sent newsgroup messages

In some newsgroups the messages posted by me appear in red. In other
newsgroups they are grey. In other newsgroups they are black or bold black
like everyone else's. Where do I find that setting?

Re: Changing color of my sent newsgroup messages

The Bold black means an unread message. Light face black (grey) means a
message that you have read.

Red means that you have marked a message as Watched and it has a reply.

Unfortunately the DEFAULT setting is that any thread STARTED by the WLM
poster will be marked as WATCHED and in RED.

Turn that bothersome creature OFF at Tools --> Options --> Advanced.

Re: Changing color of my sent newsgroup messages

By default the watched field is turned 'Off' in WLM.
It is activated two ways
- If the Watched column is enabled, clicking on that field toggles watched(red), ignored(gray), none(bold black=unread,
black=read)
- Tools/Actions(individual toggle for watch, ignore, flag)

Many inadvertently click that 'watched column' enabling the 'red or gray'color coding.

Color for a person's post can also be determined by rules on the available options by creating a rule on the 'From' field. Further
variation is possible by adding a specifier for each newsgroup.
