Have Five Inbox's - Want one Inbox like with Outlook Express

I am a long time Outlook Express user.

I have five POP3 accounts. With OE, they used to all dump into my Inbox, and whenever I sent they would all go to the same Sent
Items folder, no matter which account I sent from.

With Windows Live Mail I have five different sets of folders, each with it's own Inbox, Drafts, and Sent items.

Is there a way to get the folders to look and behave the same way they did in Outlook Express where I have only one Inbox, Sent
Items, etc. ?

Thanks!
Eric

There is no option to make WLM look like OE, but you can come
close. Collapse all the account folders so they only take up one
line each. Then right-click on "Quick views", "select quick views",
and add the folders you want, such as All Inbox, All Sent Items, etc.
Do all your message reading in the composite Quick view folders.

Thanks for the tip! I was going to add rules to send all incoming mail to my storage folder "Inbox", but it would not have solved
the combing the Sent Items.

How stable are the quick views vs. storage folders?

I wonder if I should just use the "All sent items" Quick view and no other ones.. and stick to my plan to add filters/rules to send
all my mail to my Storage folder inbox.

Thoughts, pros/cons?

Thanks!
Eric

The only drawback to diverting incoming mail to Storage folders
is that you often have to do a bit of scrolling just to see them.

Quick views are just a mirror of what is in the actual account folders.
Quick view has a bug in that whenever a storage folder is deleted
it corrupts the Quick views. There is a temporary fix, and I'm sure
this will be fixed permanently in the next release.

Yep...

That's VERY annoying...

And yet another timewaster.

Why couldn't the OE protocol of ONE Inbox be maintained?

Is it possible to search in Quick Views? For instance, when I right-click on All Sent Items, I don't see an option for search.

If you open any folder, there will be a "Find a message" box at the top.

It is probably related to the way that they decided to store messages.
Oddly, I actually get the MSOE effect by using a local LAN-based mail
server. The server POPs multiple accounts, and place the email in a single,
local account.

If it wasn't for the Hotmail account access, I'd probably not even consider
using WLM, though.
