How to view email headers in WLM/Hotmail?

Hi all..

The help section says to get the email header choose view the source
of the email.. but that only gives you the html properties of the
page.. gone is the link to view the original email with all the smtp
details etc..

I've tried different browsers on a PC and a Mac with the same result..
any ideas would be appreciated..

Cheers..

Re: How to view email headers in WLM/Hotmail?

In WLM or the Hotmail interface.
In the former, highlight the message and press Control F3.

Crossposting removed except for WLM Newsgroup, added Hotmail Newsgroup

Re: How to view email headers in WLM/Hotmail?

You have to switch to "Full" version.
(available via a link at the bottom of "Classic")
Then the Help information applies.
After that you can switch back to "Classic" if it is your preference.

Re: How to view email headers in WLM/Hotmail?

I sent feedback last year asking to correct the Help file.
Maybe you can do the same.

| I have just tried to view the headers of a messages in my Hotmail inbox

|
| Fortunately, you can still use the Windows Live Mail program on your

|
| There should be no problems whatsoever, if you open Windows Live Mail

| message as a text file, you can click on Message Source.

Hi & thanks..

I found that option when going into the full version of Live Mail in
Hotmail.. it frustrates me when microsoft does things like this without
proper explanations available.. so I try my best to avoid using their
products..

Cheers..

Thanks for your reply.. obviously I much prefer Classic.. for me the
view source option in Full Version only works by right clicking an
email title link in your mail folders.. its the last option available..

Cheers..
