| | Account not visible in the Hi If i select the fast view (not sure about the translation as i am not using an English version of WLM) under the unread email tab i get a list of all the new received messages. I have several email accounts. When i received messages of multiple accounts only of the messages from a few accounts the account name is given in the overview (Account column). The same is true for the other tabs (like all inbox, all concepts). Has anybody an idea why some accounts names are displayed and some are blank (the message from, to subject etc are displayed ok)? | | Re: Account not visible in the Are all of those messages that you've received in WLM? If you imported the messages from another mail program, or from EML files, that account information may not be available. If you deleted and added back an account, that can also cause the account information to get lost. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "Bu" <si@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:bbk1841t73qcmh5qq6qc3m3d32u7q7n636@xxxxxx Quote: > Hi > If i select the fast view (not sure about the translation as i am not > using an English version of WLM) under the unread email tab i get a > list of all the new received messages. > I have several email accounts. > When i received messages of multiple accounts only of the messages > from a few accounts the account name is given in the overview (Account > column). > The same is true for the other tabs (like all inbox, all concepts). > Has anybody an idea why some accounts names are displayed and some are > blank (the message from, to subject etc are displayed ok)? > > Bu |

I have a couple non-Hotmail accounts and for these accounts the account names show up. Strange enough the hotmail accounts do not show the account information. BTW. In the panel on the left (with an overview of all the accounts) all account names are displayed correct. Any more suggestions. Bu |

| | Re: Account not visible in the This may explain why... If viewing messages within a Live ID inbox(hotmail/msn.live.com accounts setup as an Http account), the Account field is not an available column to add to the center view pane. It is available for pop3 accounts. The 'Account' field(the receiving account, not sending) while available as an available column when viewing via 'Quick Views' (I.e. global to all accounts) does not display the recipient account for messages received in a Live ID http account. It does display pop3 acccounts. I.e. There's appears to be a linkage to the column's availability based on the individual Live ID account(e.g. inbox etc) option. Additionally the account name in the Folder pane(left pane), while the account field uses that field for pop3 accounts is not inherent to the 'account column(s)' ability to display the account for http accounts. -- ...winston ms-mvp mail "Bu" <si@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:t9u38490h20dbmopmgrlmmp8jtijpuqdct@xxxxxx Quote: > On Fri, 18 Jul 2008 15:07:39 -0700, "Michael Santovec" > <michael_santovec@xxxxxx> wrote: > Quote: >>Are all of those messages that you've received in WLM? >> >>If you imported the messages from another mail program, or from EML >>files, that account information may not be available. >> >>If you deleted and added back an account, that can also cause the >>account information to get lost. > Hi > I have a couple non-Hotmail accounts and for these accounts the > account names show up. > Strange enough the hotmail accounts do not show the account > information. > BTW. BTW I use the WLM as stand alone (not through an Internet Explorer with an active/logged-in connection.) Yhis might than be the reason. Is it logic? I do not see the logic?
