Spell check autocorrect

My spellchecker is autocorrecting a word that I do not want it to correct.
Where do I go to edit this?

Does adding the spelling you like to your custom dictionary help?

Also if you only want to do this once, Undo from the Edit menu or Ctrl-Z.

If you want to stop spellchecker from autocorrecting your spelling at all,
go to Tool>Options>Spelling and uncheck the third item "Check my spelling as
I type." Then you can manually check your spelling when you're done. When the
word you don't want changed comes up you can have spellchecker either ignore
the word or add it to your personal dictionary.

If you want your spelling autochecked, after you finish, you can go back
through the steps and check the box "Check my spelling as I type."

Aren't you mixing up Check spelling as you type (which underlines
dodgy spellings with a wavy red line) and the option next to it,
"Automatically correct..."? That's one of the first options I always
disable in any application, so I've not tested it in WLMail.

Re: Spell check autocorrect

OK, for 'next to' read 'above'. I'll be more careful next time.
Typos like 'clinet' get a wavy line anyway - all right, I then have
to correct it myself, but I'd rather do that than have nanny
changing HTA to HAT when I mean HTA. But it's clearly not broken for
some, otherwise the OP wouldn't have complained.
