| | Windows Live Backup I just purchased a new laptop and want to copy my settings from my old laptop to my new one. How do I send my Windows Live Mail from my old one to my new one. Apparently Easy Transfer is not so easy as it doesn't transfer very much from my old laptop to my new one. If I would have known about the rebate on PCMover I would have purchased it along with my new laptop ![]() Thanks. Mike D. |

| | Re: Windows Live Backup Easy Transfer was developed long before there was a WLM, so you can't expect much help from it. I've used Windows Live Mail Backup, and it works great: http://www.staticbackup.com/windows-live-mail-backup/ It has a 20 day free trial period. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "Mike Dobony" <sword@xxxxxx-host.net> wrote in message news:ONR2m$N7IHA.3652@xxxxxx Quote: >I just purchased a new laptop and want to copy my settings from my old > laptop to my new one. | | Re: Windows Live Backup Far too complex and time wasting. We need a quick way to backup everything we need in WLM to an external hard drive -- just using a few simple mouse clicks. Surely Microsoft can do that. -- DSH Lux et Veritas et Libertas Vires et Honor "Michael Santovec" <michael_santovec@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:OQJA#qP7IHA.2260@xxxxxx Quote: > How to Backup Windows Live Mail Accounts, Contacts and Messages > http://liveunplugged.spaces.live.com...90CA!174.entry > > Then move the backed up files to the new PC and import. > > -- > > Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm > > > > "Mike Dobony" <sword@xxxxxx-host.net> wrote in message > news:ONR2m$N7IHA.3652@xxxxxx Quote: >> I just purchased a new laptop and want to copy my settings from my old >> laptop to my new one.
