Windows Live Backup

I just purchased a new laptop and want to copy my settings from my old
laptop to my new one. How do I send my Windows Live Mail from my old one to
my new one. Apparently Easy Transfer is not so easy as it doesn't transfer
very much from my old laptop to my new one. If I would have known about the
rebate on PCMover I would have purchased it along with my new laptop
Thanks.

Re: Windows Live Backup

Easy Transfer was developed long before there was a WLM,
so you can't expect much help from it.

I've used Windows Live Mail Backup, and it works great:

It has a 20 day free trial period.

Then move the backed up files to the new PC and import.

Re: Windows Live Backup

Far too complex and time wasting.

We need a quick way to backup everything we need in WLM to an external hard
drive -- just using a few simple mouse clicks.

Surely Microsoft can do that.
