    Windows Live Mail calling home?

Why does WLM try to call home every time I start it (destination IP
    207.46.216.56)

I declined any prompts where it asked to collect information about me
but it is still calling out to MS at startup.

Do you have it set up for a Windows Live sign in? What happens when you go
to "Tools | Options | Connection", and click on the "Stop signing in"
button? Or is that option already set to not sign in?

Or possibly the option is *checked* at: Tools->Options...->General [tab]->General [section]->Help make Microsoft software and services even better by sending usage data to Microsoft.

When you start WLM and you have an Internet connection, it checks to see
if there are any available spelling dictionaries and will list them at
    Tools, Options, Spelling as available.

I have that shut off. It still hits an MS server when I start up. I'm
    still not trusting it :-)
