Why do I keep getting a challenge every time I send an E-mail? I have to
enter the funny looking letters before I can continue. How can I stop
this?

Something else is doing that.

If you are using a Live ID, login to Hotmail(mail.live.com) using your Live ID and respond to the 'challenge'.
