Windows Defender -Can't Stop scan without error message appearing

When windows defender starts its automatic scan each week and if I would like
to stop it while it is running i get an error message stating: above error
and that the Specified module could not be found. I have to exit Defender
completely to stop the scan from continuing. Help?? Any ideas out there?

This newsgroup is meant for supporting the Windows Live Mail program.
Your issue is not related to that.
Try the following newsgroup:

Re: Windows Defender -Can't Stop scan without error message appear

Thanks for the advice, but I am using Windows XP so the Vista site doesn't
work for me.

thanks for taking the time to answer me anyway, at least I'll know where to
search for the answers....

Re: Windows Defender -Can't Stop scan without error message appear

You're welcome. I keep forgetting that WLM runs on XP also, and the
original posts often don't reveal which OS is being used.
