RE: WLMail Help describes new Calendar feature

" Ooh! Ahh!... " indeed!!

When can we sign up for beta testing this wondrous new feature--as a
stand-alone?

And--any clue when this new version might be released?

The latest hint suggests the next version of WLMail will arrive early September.

Re: WLMail Help describes new Calendar feature

That doesn't allow any time for beta testing.
Or did you mean the beta test version will be released at that time?

I get the impression it will go public then. Maybe it will be a public beta?

Re: WLMail Help describes new Calendar feature

Since other Live upgrades and versions(e.g Writer, PhotoGallery) have occurred via Microsoft Update that would be the obvious.
Both were automatically installed if Windows Update was configured in Automatic mode. Live Toolbar was also deployed via MU, same
automatic installation..the Toolbar update 'view details' option also came with with an amazingly incorrect kb article reference
for help and support( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/887811).

The Writer and PhotoGallery(complete replacements of almost all files) were without issue..but they are not as global in
integration with other Windows components and settings.

I also hope the Live Team learned something from the MSN team about deploying a mail client upgrade without external testing(e.g.
MSn Premium 9.2 to 9.5 to 9.6 was/is done online within the application--the difference--Msn Premium is a subscription based
application)

Time will tell <g>

Re: WLMail Help describes new Calendar feature

I've got a couple of "beefs" about WLM that I'd like to "report" or suggest
changes to for the beta version (hopefully that's what will come out). Where
does one go to describe those?
1. The way, in the spell checker drop-down box, the the incorrect spelling
is highlighted (good) but one has to actually delete the highlight instead of
it automatically deleting when one clicks on it.

2. The frustration of needing to scroll thru all the available fonts when
one wishes to make a change instead of being able to type the desired name
into a search box.
The situation where this usually occurs is when I paste in a quote or
something to forward and the text in the email message from there forward is
in the font of the origilanl message instead of my preferred (default) font.

Re: WLMail Help describes new Calendar feature

I know what you mean, it's a long scroll for me to get to Verdana.

Another way they could have handled this is to keep one's most frequently used
fonts at the top of the font list, the way Word does it.
