WLM vs Windows Contact list

How do I sync "Windows Live Mail Contacts" and "Windows Contacts?"

Thanks.

Re: WLM vs Windows Contact list

I should add that my most current list is the "Windows Live Mail
Contacts" but ITunes wants to use the Window's Contacts list, that is a bit
out of date.

Re: WLM vs Windows Contact list

There is no automated way to keep those two sets of contacts
in sync.
You should probably complain to iTunes.

Re: WLM vs Windows Contact list

A1.
You don't sync WLM Contacts with Vista's Windows Contacts

A2.
Open iTunes, Connect the iPod
Uncheck the option to sync the Contacts, then perform a sync(this will clear the contacts)
Close iTunes
Open WLM(in advance decide if you would like the default Contacts(no LiveID signon) or a Live ID contacts(LiveID signon)
Export your WLM Contacts to a csv file, close WLM
Open WM
Export your contacts in WM to a CSV file as a backup, then delete the WM Contacts
Import the WLM Contacts(saved earlier to a csv file) using the WM interface
Close WM
Open iTunes
Recheck the option to Sync Contacts
Perform a sync.

Repeat the process whenever necessary after updating WLM contacts, or manually update your Contacts on the iPod(if your iPod
supports manual entry). I can't attest if contacts updated manually on the iPod will sync with WM Contacts, I do know(in my
specific case)that sync occurs 2-ways with Outlook on an iPod Touch

Re: WLM vs Windows Contact list

It took me a few times, one corrupted file and a few errors on my part,
but I did get it done. Thanks.

Now the question will be, "Can I remember it next time?" or can ITunes
update their software to sync with WLM?
