accidentally deleted whole account

Hello,

in my WLMD, I have several inboxes. But today, instead of deleting a single
e-mail, I accidentally removed one of my accounts. I clicked 'cancel'
immediately, and I'm sure all the e-mail (or at least a great deal of it)
must be still there (in the My Identities folder etc.) but how to recover it?
I'm afraid re-installing the account will only cause these folders and their
contents to dissappear!

Please help!

Thanks in advance.

Re: accidentally deleted whole account

If this is a POP account, the messages are deleted and gone,
unless you used the option "Leave a copy of messages on the server".
Some ISPs keep backup tapes and can restore recent messages for
a fee. Also, you can try a file recovery program such as Recuva:
http://www.recuva.com/

Incidentally, WLM doesn't have Identities, nor has it been called WLMD
since April 2007. The 'Desktop' portion of the name was dropped back
then.

Re: accidentally deleted whole account

To echo what Gary mentioned and to add for future reference.

Only accounts that store messages on the server for subsequent sync(Http or Imap) or download provide recovery of an account's
folder and email.

For future insurance backup the messages using WLM's File/Export Messages or a 3rd party utility.
The former is covered here:
