| | Daily Limit on Sending/Recieving email for live.com email address? I just signed up with a new Windows Live Hotmail Address. I am using Windows Live Mail for my email client. When trying to send several emails this morning, I am getting the following error Unable to send or receive messages for the Live XXX account. You've reached the daily limit for sent messages for this account. Try sending the message from another e-mail account, or wait a day and then try again. Subject XXX Server Error: 3210 Is there anyway around this? I am trying to send an email to all my contacts letting them know my new email address. Thanks Candice Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE00006 |

| | Re: Daily Limit on Sending/Recieving email for live.com email address? Hotmail has had a 100-messages-a-day limit for at least five years. On top of that, some of their servers start new customers off with a 10-a-day limit until they have established a reputation for not spamming. There are also limits on the number of addressees a message can have, probably 50 for an established customer. The answer is to divide your contacts list up into 25-addresses chunks, and send two or three 'new address' notifications a day until everyone's had one. -- Noel "Candice" <Candice@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:6B4C9212-2CB0-456F-9492-EC72D206C7D6@xxxxxx Quote: > I just signed up with a new Windows Live Hotmail Address. | | RE: Daily Limit on Sending/Recieving email for live.com email address? Thank You for the response. I believe I was sending the 11th or 12th email, so that would make sense that a new account has 10 email limit. Do you happen to know how long this limit of 10 will be in place? | | Re: Daily Limit on Sending/Recieving email for live.com email address? From the WL Hotmail Help(applies to Live.com, Msn.com and Hotmail.com addresses) <qp> When you try to send an e-mail message to multiple recipients, you may receive an error message that states that you must remove some recipients before you can send your message. To troubleshoot this issue, reduce the number of recipients to the number that is indicated in the error message, and then try to send your message again. To help reduce the amount of junk e-mail (Unwanted, unsolicited, or illicit e-mail or other electronic messages, including spam.) sent from Windows Live Hotmail accounts, we limit the number of recipients that you can send a message to at one time. As you develop a reputation for not sending junk e-mail, we increase the number of recipients that you can send messages to. </qp> -- ...winston ms-mvp mail "Candice" <Candice@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:6B4C9212-2CB0-456F-9492-EC72D206C7D6@xxxxxx Quote: > I just signed up with a new Windows Live Hotmail Address. | | Re: Daily Limit on Sending/Recieving email for live.com email address? To get around that limit of 10, send from your ISP's webmail portal, or set up your ISP-assigned POP account in Windows Live Mail. Another option is to get a free Gmail account. It never hurts to have options. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "Candice" <Candice@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:E119E58B-8D2F-4CF5-B061-3CCDA081CCC0@xxxxxx Quote: > Thank You for the response. > > I believe I was sending the 11th or 12th email, so that would make sense > that a new account has 10 email limit. > > Do you happen to know how long this limit of 10 will be in place? > > Candice > > "Candice" wrote: > Quote: >> I just signed up with a new Windows Live Hotmail Address.
