I wanted to move from Thunderbird to Windows live mail but for some reason
ldap doesn't work with WLM. Is there a log file that I can look at see why
it's failing?

Log file is stored in WLM store location

To add an LDAP Directory Server
Tools/Accounts/Add/Contacts Directory Account
