Vista - Windows Live Hotmail Access

Can't access my mailbox on one account. I am able to sign in but the error I
get is

"LOGIN ERROR
Windows Live Hotmail was not able to sign in to your account at this time.
Please try again later"

My other hotmail account works normally. I have tried accessing from a
different computer but still no success. Is there an update going on which
affects some accounts but not others?

did you ever find a solution? i'm having the exact same problem now. same
message regardless of MAC nor which up-to-date browser i attempt to use (e.g.
firefox, safari, IE).
additionally, i'm unable to access my account from entourage through a
premium plus subscriber (i am paying for this service.)

is your account a plus account (paid subscriber) as well?

do ping back if you've got the answer to my copycat problem.

OP doesn't say, but posting in the
'microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop' newsgroup suggests she is using
the Windows Live Mail application; which is a stand alone email client, not
a browser, such as Safari. This would make your problem not a "copycat"
problem. This is the newsgroup for discussion of problems with Windows Live
Mail. You probably want the 'microsoft.public.msn.discussion' newsgroup,
which handles matters regarding Windows Live Hotmail, which used to be
called, "MSN Hotmail".

Additionally, Windows Live Mail can access free Hotmail accounts, using
either WebDAV, or DeltaSync for HTTPMail access; unique to WLM and MS
Outlook Express (and the MS Outlook Connector plug-in). Not available for
Entourage, that I know of (which would be using POP3 access only on the Plus
accounts).

I get the same problem.
I have not been able to access my account for 12 hours now.
The error message is "Windows Live Hotmail was not able to sign in to your
account at this time. Please try again later."
I have tried on different machines and networks with no joy. If anyone can
let me know how I can fix this or how long I might have to wait I would be
very grateful.

Just so you all know, I was able to access my account again 20 hours after
the problem happened.
I have noticed that test mails that I sent to my account over that period
were not delivered to the account and bounced back to the sender.
I'm not too bothered though, great to have my hotmail back!
