Not sending mails - intermittent

Hello,

Have setup a Hotmail account (default) [witha few other email accounts] in
Live Mail. Most of the time when I compose a mail and send, it sends
immediately - "Sending" comes up in lower right.

However, sometimes it just doesn't send - not even when the 4 min
Send/Receive kicks in. I've often left it for more than 30 mins to no avail.
Yet my connection is working as I'm browsing or connected to a site or
whatever during that time.

The only way I've found around it is to exist WLM completely.... where there
is another problem. When I do File/Exit or exit from the system tray, the WLM
mail icon goes. But if I try to restart, it won't start. I found that a
process, wlmail.exe, is still running in Task Manager.

When I end that process, then I can restart properly. And it sends/receives
with no problem.

All this is intermittent. I don't see a pattern. Though it probably happens
maybe once a day if I'm using it all day.

Any ideas?

Michael

Re: Not sending mails - intermittent

Is a Live ID used to logon when WLM opens ?
If Live Id logon is used, Tools/Options/Send/- Is Upload Larger images to Web enabled(should be)
Send and receive messages on startup ?
Check for new messages every 'x' minutes ?
Does WLM report the correct quantity of unread messages ?

Re: Not sending mails - intermittent

Try changing your send / receive time to 10 minutes.
