About a month ago windows live mail started giving me an error when creating
a new message or replying to a message. It's a generic windows error that
says "Windows Live Mail Has Stopped Working". Right when I click "new
message" or "reply" I get this error.

I did a complete uninstall and reinstall of Windows Live Mail. I even
deleted the registry values associated with windows live mail. I still get
the same error.
This is a huge problem since I can't send email to my business contacts.

I also have windows mail installed on my Vista System. Is it possible to
import my messages from Windows Live Mail into Windows Mail?

Hi,

Yes - create an new empty folder (call it anything you like - mail will do and put it just about anywhere - Documents is fine)


Open WLMail click FIle >Export>Messages, choose Microsoft Exchange, Browse to the folder you just created and export them into that. Close WLMail.


Open Windows Mail - Click yes to the window to set it as default.

Click FIle >Import>Messages, choose Microsoft Exchange, Browse to the folder you just created and import them.
