| | Windows Live Mail and Office Outlook 2007 I would like to ser up my Office Outlook 2007 to work the same as in Live Mail. I deleted the Address Book when I removed Outlook Express from my computer. How can I set up Office Outlook to use the same Address Book as Live Mail? Help doesn't seam to help me. Thank you, David |

| | Re: Windows Live Mail and Office Outlook 2007 Addendum: Perhaps I misunderstood your question. You can do a one-time manual export of your contacts from WLM, and then import that CSV file into Outlook. But you cannot share contacts continuously or keep them synchronized between the two programs. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "Gary VanderMolen" <Gary@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:eMbiKVHFJHA.2292@xxxxxx Outlook cannot use the same address book as WLM. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "titus12" <titus12@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:7CE1A429-F9AF-4FA0-9CD2-AE7F3879A1DC@xxxxxx Quote: >I would like to ser up my Office Outlook 2007 to work the same as in Live > Mail. | | Re: Windows Live Mail and Office Outlook 2007 I don't think you can. Outlook Express had an option to use the Outlook Contacts instead of its own WAB (Windows Address Book) file. Officially, that option was supported with only Outlook 98 and 2000. A registry hack would let it work with Outlook 2002 and 2003. My understanding is that it no longer works with Outlook 2007. I think the sharing option was built into the WAB.EXE file that OE uses. Windows Live Mail doesn't use the WAB. It has its own contacts folder. The best you can do is export from Outlook to CSV and import to WLM. But you'll have to manually keep them in-sync. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "titus12" <titus12@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:7CE1A429-F9AF-4FA0-9CD2-AE7F3879A1DC@xxxxxx Quote: > I would like to ser up my Office Outlook 2007 to work the same as in > Live Mail. | | Re: Windows Live Mail and Office Outlook 2007 Do you wish to have the Contacts for a signed-on Live ID(Hotmail, Msn, Live.com) account in WLM available in Outlook 2007 ? - If so, the only way besides exporting your contacts to a csv file in WLM and import 'one time' into Outlook 2007 Contacts is to install the Outlook Connector in Outlook 2007. You will have access to the Outlook 2007 contacts and any Live ID contacts when that Live ID account is setup in the Outlook Connector. If you choose this route, the OLConnector will mirror the Hotmail folders and appear as a separate account in Outlook in addition to having access to both sets of Contacts. If you wish to have access to WLM non-Live ID contacts(default set is enabled by not signing in with a Live ID at WLM program open)then the manual method(export/import csv) is your only option. The ability to share Outlook's Contacts with Outlook Express(not the other way around) was only available for OE. -- ...winston ms-mvp mail "titus12" <titus12@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:7CE1A429-F9AF-4FA0-9CD2-AE7F3879A1DC@xxxxxx Quote: > I would like to ser up my Office Outlook 2007 to work the same as in Live Mail.
